Looking for reseller 3 GB space / 30 GB Bandwidth

Posted by Amaresh, 12-04-2005, 03:32 AM
Hello, I'm looking for a reseller with 3 GB space, 30 GB Bandwidth, Private Nameservers, and other features like MySql db's, emails etc unlimited along with cPanel and Fantastico. How much should I be looking to pay monthly for the above, and please recommend any trusted companies I should go with.

Anything between 10-30 bucks should be good IMO. Check out the offers forum

I would also agree that for the Features specified, $10.00 a month min. is a good starting point. At $15.00 and up, though, you move into a bracket where you will most likely be dealing with a very good Hoster; good Servers/Support and less problems for you and your Clients. Normally, Features / Price / Support can be checked out before signing up with anyone. The last point to consider, Service or Uptime, cannot usually be determined until one actually starts using it. To help overcome that, there are various places that provide Free or Paid uptime monitoring and the following three provide both: http://easymonitor.com/ http://siteuptime.com/ http://host-tracker.com/ Using a combination of all on one Hoster or each on different Hosters, can give you a good idea on their Service before using them. And, as people are quick to complain and slow to praise -- just the way we are I guess -- look for a Forum at your potential Hoster. Reading through various posts will give a good idea of how other people judge the Hoster along with how they reply to posts. Overall, research and patience are two important tools when checking most things, Hosting or otherwise and no matter who is recommended.

I hate restating the obvious and what others have already said, however I have to agree $10 is a very reasonable starting point, and should not be lower than that.

Have you considered resellerzoom.com , for example?

DON'T consider resellerzoom.com. I have a reseller account with them and found that yesterday one of the sites was suspended for spamming. That site is actually my own and there were about 6 emails sent out of there during the past week and they were all to personal friends. My inquiry regarding an explanation from tech support received a response that it was being bumped up to a level 2 tech to figure out an answer. I had already made plans to move since the past few months has seen an incredible amount of server loads running between 10 and 47 CPU's. A few months ago I was able to contact tech support over the phone but that is no longer the case since the techs are always "busy" and I do not doubt that one bit. It's only been 8 hours since the level 2 was to investigate why the site was suspended. but I will be patient. It is always possible that an unsecure script was exploited and the site was used for spamming recently but the bandwidth only shows 64 meg this month so far. I have backed up the accounts and started up with Hostgator as planned for next month anyway. Good luck on your search.

Those look like pretty standard reseller account requirements - many providers can offer you that for between $10 and $30. I would suggest you look in the "shared/reseller offers" forum, then scan the other forums on WHT (and elsewhere) for good/bad reviews of the hosts that take your fancy.

We recommend Site5.
