Hi friends Just wanted your opinion about this reseller plan for $99 [code]https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/reseller/basic.asp?se=%2B&ci=3305[code] Has anyone tried this plan ? I have limited budget, and if the back end is being controlled by wildwest experts, then i think it is a good deal. Any hidden catches which I should know , that are not mentioned on their site ? Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks.

wildwest is more known for domains. Personally I am highly skeptical of domain registrar's offering hosting but maybe that is me. Try a search of the forum here for wildwest and godaddy. I have seen a few threads about them. Last edited by Lubby; 09-13-2005 at 10:53 AM.

you'll find mixed reviews. overall not a bad program but they're pushy about selling extras, and like i said you'll get mixed reviews of quality support. another program to take a serious look at is enom pdq. Also $99/year. cant sell as much, you do the support, a little more expensive, and windows only. but good quality/service. Last edited by awhost; 09-13-2005 at 11:17 AM.

Don't go with Wild West. Its nearly impossible to make money with them. Also, I found their hosting services very slow. Their $99 plan is a revenue sharing plan. Their no revenue sharing plan starts at $229 per year!!!! I must add that Wild West Domains is great for non-techie newbie folks. A complete site with the billing system included is hard to come by. If you plan on a pretty high volume of clients WWD may be right for you.. Last edited by luisren; 09-13-2005 at 11:27 AM.

If i buy reseller for $99 and host 10 clients, do they keep some amount from the amount i earn from my clients ? i tried to study their plan, but get lost somewhere.... their site is too crowded with links and and finally loose track of what i was pursuing.

AFAIK they killed the revenue sharing.

they have buy rates that you buy at, and you set the sell rates. AFAIK the only thing they take is the buy rate and the 99 (or more) per year.

YES! They keep some. Basically, you would have to have some pretty steep costs, above your price, in order to make a few cents of profit. Use them for your domain name services only..

i heard they did that and when they came out with the "reloaded" plans it wasnt like that anymore, have you used them recently?

Yes, I ended my reseller services with them 2 weeks ago yesterday. Even though they advertise "No revenue sharing" its kind of a play on words. You still have to set your price above theirs, per sale, and thats your profit. Also, you cannot move your customers to another Host later on. They are not really your customers with WWD.
