csf Firewall temporary IP entries issue

Hi, One our client is facing the problem that his mail id is frequently went in temporary deny list as well as their local ISP, after that csf permanently deny. We are using cPanel/WHM : WHM 11.26.20 CENTOS 4.8 i686 Please guys help to fix this problem once for all

you can either white list him or ask him to use another mailclient

Hey there, For latest bans, you may try increasing this limit: CSF -> Firewall Settings: The point of this is to prevent a flood on POP3 which could render POP3 offline. Generally 60 POP3 checks per hour per account should be enough, that means that users are checking their mail accounts every minute. However you also have to take into consideration instances where users click the "Check for new mail" button in their e-mail application. Setting this to 120 per hour would mean that each user can average a check every 30 seconds. I would think that 120 should be enough for anyone.

From the logs I can see that the checking interval is set to 20 seconds. Please increase the checking interval in mail client to 120 seconds (2 minutes) or more.
