looking for a reseller

Posted by jsl, 12-04-2004, 10:22 PM
can anyone give me the name of a good reseller that uses cpanel.. i'll need around 1 GB of space and 30-40GB bandwidth. i don't want any resellers offering me reseller hosting. i want a very reliable host. unlimited reselling is best for me.

Hi, Do you just want the 800 number on site? Or do you want 24X7 availability of host. There are host who have number listed on their site, but if they do not respond to that, then what will you do. Like the recent example of Turnkey, they have number on their site along with mobile number, but there is no response. My suggestion would be to look at availability of host, through different means not limiting to telephone. In such advance age of IT, there are number of options through which you can contact your host. Just my 2 cents.

The yardstick by which some people measure the decency of a hosting company can be truly unbelievable.

The one on the domain whois isn't good enough for you? I get email spam from other hosting companies as it is and I'd rather not get anymore phone spam. Cough aplus.net

Well hostgator seems to have a pretty good reputation on here. You could give them a try I suppose.

With hostgator you get a free billing system.

Im not sure how hostnetway can offer that much bandwidth, I never asked. I do know that their support is awesome plus you get clientexec for free, and that's easy to setup and stuff.

Did you notice the amount of downtime throughout October? It must've been down 10 times. I was very tempted in leaving but now it's alright. Not saying they're bad at the moment, but in October there were so many problems with their server.

That wasnt their fault. I was with them through that period, and it was a big missunderstanding and confusion with the place they had their servers. I wont go into detail but it seems to all be fixed now.. I havent had any problems sense.

Yes I know it wasn't their fault but with so much downtime I was about to leave and look for another host. I also went through that period of time and the owner was very helpful in telling me all the specific details. It was very confusing but I still like them.
