Newb in desperate need of help!

Hello, I am your basic beginner that understands very little about creating a website. I designed a website on iWeb on my Macbook and uploaded it to the mobileme server on apple's site. I wanted it to be easier to type in than http://web.me.com/travisgkirby/travisgkirby/Home.html so I created an account on networksolutions.net, purchased a domain name (riverkfarm.com) and proceeded to try to make this work. I then put mobile.me.com as the CNAME under DNS settings and it reads as follows:
Alias TTL Refers to Host Name
web.me.com.riverkfarm.com 7200 www .riverkfarm.com
I assume 7200 as TTL is correct because that's what it was as default. ... Then I saw this under IP address (a records)
Host TTL Numeric IP
www 7200 209.62.20.200 Under construction Page
@ (None) 7200 209.62.20.200 Under construction Page
* (All Others) 7200 209.62.20.200 Under construction Page
My question is, should I delete the entries under the a records field? Thank you for any and all advice you can provide as I have been trying to figure this out for a while to no avail.

You cannot redirect your domain riverkfarm.com to a URL like http://web.me.com/travisgkirby/travisgkirby/Home.html using CNAME entry. Redirection through DNS can be done only to URL ending with a TLD (like, me.com, me.net)
Here you can use and .htaccess file for riverkfarm.com and redirect the requests to http://www.riverkfarm.com to http://web.me.com/travisgkirby/travisgkirby/Home.html through .htaccess rules.
Please update here if this is not what you are really looking for

Please excuse my ignorance but can you try to explain what I should do at this point? I'm not fully understanding. Thanks!

Hi,
Do you only own the domain name riverkfarm.com or you have bought some webspace to host it? I checked out http://www.riverkfarm.com and it looks like its still parked with the domain registrar(which means you have not put it on any webspace that you bought) .
You can check with your registrar whether they can redirect riverkfarm.com to http://web.me.com/travisgkirby/travisgkirby/Home.html . Or if you are planning to buy a space to host riverkfarm.com, then a simple .htaccess file under the domain can redirect it to http://web.me.com/travisgkirby/travisgkirby/Home.html .
Is that you on the Black Stallion? Looks cool

Hey, thanks for your help! I thought that my mobileme account was the webspace because I am paying for it. So I guess to answer your question, no I didn't buy a webspace, I just bought a domain name. My next step was to contact networksolutions to see if they could help me, so I will try that now. That is me on "Hammerhead" about 4 years ago. I'm trying to build this site to promote my family's farm and breeding program.
I have another question for you. For now, forget everything I've told you about the domain name and what not. I have a mobileme account though apple where my website is posted. The whole reason for buying a domain name was so it would be simply riverkfarm.com so it would be easy for people to find and enter. Is there easier way I am missing in order to achieve this goal or was I on the right track?

Also, do you know if it is possible to use iWeb to design my website, cut out the mobileme account and post it directly to the riverkfarm.com domain and webspace?

Buying the domain name is the first step to the easiest way to bring up your website when entering just 'riverkfarm.com'. So yes, you are on the right track.
I am not familiar with iWeb, but from what i`ve heard and know, you can use iWeb to design your site that is hosted somewhere.

You cannot achieve your requirement without hosting your domain on a webserver. So, you need find a hosting provider first. Then set a redirect using htaccess.

You probably need to redirect the domain to your current webpage. That would be the easiest to do.Check with your domain name provider if they provide redirection services.
