All my TP boxes went down

Posted by junglecat, 07-08-2005, 09:14 PM
Gnax and Burst seem fine, so must be a network issue. All my boxes at the Planet seem to have disappeared about 15 minutes ago, ip range 216.66.12.* Someone please tell me I'm not alone Still waiting on a reply to my urgent ticket.

216.66.12.x is HE.net, not TP... I would guess that you're with TMS or a reseller (or someone else with HE.net @ TP) Your server might be physically in a TP datacenter but not on TP bandwidth

HE.net, that is correct. Take a look ar this thread.

I just called TP and they said there was an issue at DC2 (my servers at DC4 are fine) and the tech said something about a Fiber line being down. He had no ETA as of yet.

Mine came back up. They were down about 2 hours

TP's DC2 is back up again. Rejoice!

My TP servers are down again...

Yes one of our server is down again too. Location: BL66 Connection: SWITCH: 'bl66-CAT2950T-24-1' PORT: 'FastEthernet0/7' Anybody else on the same switch facing this issue?

They are going up and down. It is not a server issue as I first thought. It appears to be in the network somewhere. Mine are down right now.... Regards, Phil

Seems like it is affecting servers on the CAR2-4.DLLSTX2 router! No reply from the planet to my ticket till now. Anybody who is able to get in touch with them on this issue?

Posted by uka, 07-09-2005, 01:30 AM
Mine on SWITCH: 'at66-cat2950t-24-1' is also down. I thought it is a server issue and submitted a reboot request, but they have not taken any action on it. Now, I think is a network issue. Hope it would be solved soon. Regards UKA

My 2 servers in DLLSTX2 keep going up and down.

Posted by ChaoticSilence, 07-09-2005, 01:48 AM
Seems like no body is there to answer tickets, and this certainly is not a good sign.

We have 3 servers and one of them is also down at the moment (was going down and up several times today).

Still down. I got following answer to my ticket: I apologize for the inconvenience. However your machine is experiencing some of our current network issues. Our technicians are currently working to resolve this. Once the issue is resolved we will check to ensure your server is online.

The same message was sent to us too, but no details and no ETA.

Takes the piss that there is once central point of failure! I wonder how many servers are connected to each of these type of switches - so that if one goes down, I wonder how many servers it takes with it? Al
