"resell reseller plans" options

Posted by SPjames, 06-24-2004, 12:15 PM
does anyone know of a good solution to integrate in my cpanel/WHM a "resell reseller plans" system: the idea is to provide clients with the ability to sell "reseller plans" WITHOUT ROOT ACCESS the solution: a. resellers will be able to create and own their "sub" WHM's b. view the usage of these accounts as "sub" resellers and not as regular resellers c. transfer/terminate an entire "master reseller" with all his sub reseller accounts thank you all in advance for your replies James

You can add it to the suggestions area of the cPanel.net forums: http://forums.cpanel.net

cpanelsubs or something does this and it has been discussed thoroughly. http://www.cpanelsubs.com/ Personally I don't like it but noone really cares what I have to think anyway. Last edited by cywkevin; 06-25-2004 at 03:07 AM.

Unfortunately, there's a dark cloud hanging over that software due to licensing disputes. I suggest not putting in a penny till it's resolved. If you search the forum, you would actually find the code for that being released.

Well, there are some logistical ways around it -- I mean the fact that there is no software doing it, at least not without giving up an important part of your control. But then, the question is also, would you really want to give a reseller that much control. So, I suggest setting reseller accounts up FOR the reseller to sell.

Just to say that we revised our position about cpanelsubs sub-reseller script. It actually seems that controls are all there, and it seems the thing to go. (And yes, we are aware about the legal fight with that East European company.)

Isn't that kinda like semi-dedicated? Or am I wrong?
