my server reports BW=3.1
network/usage reports BW =10.5 GB
why there is difference?

| Because your server is only reporting what it wants to see port wise, while your network usage reports your usage regardless of service.

I see that my server gets 3.1 GB of the 10.5 GB (total I mean from net work usage report)
how I can investigate what is the cause of remainder of 10.5 gbs?
there is 7.4 gbs that I don`t know how it has been used?

| incoming and outgoing bandwidth? Every dedicated server faces that. For example, cPanel can show you 100GB of bandwidth used but it shows you incoming (drawing blanks on whether this should be outgoing or incoming, other stuff on my mind really screws it up) bandwidth and it doesn't show any of the bandwidth being sent out of the server which could add another 50GB or so.
It's normal, but if you need more help figuring out what's causing the high bandwidth usage, contact your server provider and see if they can help you out with it.
