Acunett issues

For a second day my site is down. http://creditcardtutor.com/ I had to find out myself that it was down. So I tried to log a ticket and when I try to submit I get a Page cant be displayed. Ok..so I emailed them. They tell me there is a virus on the server and reinstalling the OS. They said this is posted in their forums, which I seem to be unable to login to. Says I am inactive member. So this OS reinstall was like 20 hours ago. Still nothing. Emailed them again. This is not the first time I have had trouble with them. I had other issues but it seems I got the blame for those. Is this considered acceptable ? I know it is not to me. At a minimum I would have liked an email saying server is going to be down. Kevin

Well, I don't know how their Announcement system works... but we expect our customers to Subscribe to the Announcements forum to stay on top of things. Everytime we make a system config change or plan maintenance its announced in Forums but still ALWAYS get customers asking why, how and when...these are the ones how didn't subsribe to Announcements while they SHOULD have. If your host says "Subscribe to the Announcements Forum" then its in your best interest. However, if they didn't Announce the outage, then you need to take it up with them firmly.

well i cant get into the forum as it is requires a login and pass. No idea why the announcements are need to be locked down?? So is 20 hours down acceptable for a virus on the OS? How about no email response back in 20 Hours? How about that I cant log a ticket now for some reason. i think it is not acceptable. kevin

Kevin, You need to register at our forums and then let us know your username so we may give access to our restricted forums. Also, the techs at the datacenter are almost done installing the new hard drive. After they are done, we will begin restoring backups. I am terribly sorry for the troubles. If you need anything else, please let me know. Regards, Rob - AcuNett
