Sudo how much permission to a dedicated monitoring service
Guys one of my dedicated is a kind of semi managed.
They guys monitor it 24 hours and if some thing goes wrong like
apache is dead they fix it.
how can I limit their access and authoriy over my Server while
I can let them to monitory my server!
I know nothing about server management and my other dedi is mully managed not this one.
Can any body tell me in easy primary school word how to set up
an Id give enough authority to them to go ahead with their work ?
Merry Christmas

First of all you need to decide what exactly you want to allow to your semi-admins.
But if you restrict their access they may not be able effectively solve problems with apache. Because problems happens too unpredictable...

I also think for effectively solve problems need full access.
We have some clients who limit access for us. And each problem it's long discussion with client by phone.
Or you can limit type of problem what your semi-admins will be solve. But if good admin have any suid programm or something else it can get root access.

If you have server what need very security then you need good own admin and do not use other admins. And you need contruct with privacy policy with admin.

I think your biggest issue is who you have manage your server.
Do you perform your own security upgrades? If not how are they supposed to upgrade important things such as the kernel?
Have an outdated kernel for example... is worse then them logging in...
