What's in there? Is /tmp on its own partition? How large is it?

Either reduce the amount of data going into /tmp by finding out what exactly is consuming it. Or increase the size of the /tmp partition.

Find out what exactly is filling the tmp partition. It may be temporary files or cache from some applications like eAccelerator.

Maybe it is possible to set a cron to delete files older than 1 day? - Vince

All you have to do is to add a cron job to run a tmpwatch script every hr, to clear off entries in /tmp folder which are older than an hour or so...

tmp folder keep hitting 100% The partition where your tmp resides might be running out of free space. You can release free space from that partition by doing 'tune2fs -m 1 /dev/sdXn' Careful if this tmp resides on / as you have to give back the 4% disk space you have retrived by running tune2fs again.
