Affordablecolo/DTINetwork Down

Posted by energy, 02-07-2004, 12:36 PM
It looks like all of Affordablecolo has been down for over an hour and part of their network has been down for over 5 hours. Anyone knows what is going on? I tried contacting them …. mailbox is full.

Colo4Dallas had a major power failure today that took down the whole datacenter for a couple of hours. I am sure this is a side effect from it.

Couple of hours?

The portion of the network our servers are on was down for 7 hours and 22 minutes. The entire network was down for almost 90 minutes. You would think Colo4Dallas would have working redundant power in place.

there was an outage that effected most AC power, not the entire center. The issue was resolved and steps taken to remove that issue from happening again. The most any power was off was 1 hour 30 minutes. Some customer servers did not come up when power was restored. Being Saturday, some customers, and their customers, were difficult to reach.

Guess what, they are down again

Who is down? DTI? Your server? Colo4-Dallas is not having any power or network issues. Techs have no trouble tickets pending.

DTI is down. Someone should wake up Charles.

Maybe they forgot to put gas in the generator or charge the batteries?

My servers are online but going very very very slow, sounds like a network issue and probably charles trying to blame it on someone else again. Ive tried his cell, no answer. No response to emergency pager. cant get to his help desk. Time to get everyone off to new servers at nac.

If you read other threads, you will find that Charles Baker is moving out of Colo4Dallas to ThePlanet without notice to many customers. We are looking to network with other customers, as Charles has not returned our calls for 4 days and we want ThePlanet to understand that us wanting our server back is not a limited problem.

Have you tried his mobile?

What is his mobile? He is active on AOL Instant Messenger as webworkscorp but he won't answer me! He has left our support ticken unresponded for 5 days, his voice mail is full, his email mailbox is full, he refuses to call, etc. We have phoned him over 20 times in the past 5 days (with cell phone records to show this). UPDATE: We got him on AIM at 1:30pm Dallas time. We are begging him to let us go into ThePlanet to pickup up are single 1u server. He says he has to find our balance with Kristin... this is the same game he gave us on the Phone Monday. It isn't that we owe him, it is that he has internal problems confirming we don't owe him! UGGH! Last edited by StephenRS; 04-02-2004 at 03:35 PM.
