creating network-based OS

| I have a file server, and want to build a system that has network-based reload feature. However, I have no idea how to create it. Is there any tutorial to do that? So whenever I need to reload OS for my server, I can do myself, dont need to ask help from the tech in datacenter?

| Have you considered using virtual servers? You could use something like Xen and run your file server inside a virtual machine. Not much performance penalty and you can easily reload the file server's OS from the physical server.

| Not really to understand. I know in VPS environment, with something likes HyperVM, I can have OS templates. Now I want to have that, but not for VPS. It will be used for physical servers. I have heard that someone using network-based OS. It seems they contain OS template in a file server, then call it whenever needed, but not sure how to do

| You probably mean network booting. That will probably require KVM access. You need to have access to another box on the same subnet to host the OS image and help your file server boot. You must also have a machine with BIOS support for network booting.
