Hi, I just bought a new server and have some question. Hope you guys can help me. Is it ok to have folders "chroot, default" in my /var/www/vhosts folder? The quote below is my ps aux output. Are all this processes look legitimate? What are these cpuspeed, klogd, irqbalance, portmap, rpc, hald, cupsd? I dont think i have these processes in my old server.

cpuspeed: takes advantage of CPU scaling; turns CPU speed down to use less power and generate less heat while the system is idle klogd: kernel logging daemon irqbalance: exactly as the name says; it [attempts] to evenly distribute interrupts across all CPU cores portmap and rpc: mainly used for special services (e.g. nfs); hald: used to collect hardware data cupsd: print server daemon You can safely disable cpuspeed and cupsd if you wish. Portmap and RPC can be disabled if you're not using them (chances are, you're not). Your ps output looks clean.
