Dears, I am planning to move my server to hetzner.de, their prices are very good, does any have any experience with them? Please only who really worked with them... Thanks

Hetzner is one of our data center partners since many years. We have never had bad experiences with them. The support is friendly and reacts fast and reliable. Server maintenance windows (for virtual servers) are announced ahead, dedicated servers have never been down so far. What I do not know is whether their support in English is as good as in German. We would choose Hetzner again at any time.

I'd recommend them, although for budget + Europe I put OVH slightly higher than them, and Online.net a bit lower.

The only major thing will be if you can manage it yourself, which you already stated you can. Are there any specific details about them that you want to know more about before ordering?

Well, lately (singe beginning 2016) we are seeing some very weird random packetloss across all the machines randomly. (we run intensive UDP traffic and we are talking of nearly 100 machines active in all the various DC) They sent an email a few days ago about switches replacements taking place next week, hopefully that will restore the quality we were used

This past weekend has been another nightmare (related to customer complaints)... And we are also paying the double paid traffic for each single box... For now, if you have applications that require very high quality on the network side (UDP sensible to packetloss / jitter) I would do some tests if I were in you before going all-in there

Looks like they fixed the random packetloss 3 days ago by chaning the handover port to core-backbone. Touching wood didn't noticed it anymore

Their abuse team is to fast with suspending a server. Sadly that is common at most german hosts.

And that's a great thing. And it's also the reason as of why hetzner IPs are generally clean and it's seen as a good host. Additionally everytime there's a ddos attack targeting their network they send out email to each of the attacker (even in case of reflected attacks) They are one of the best example of integrity and security out there right now

They did null route my server 3 times for fake abuse messages without asking anything (if they would have contacted me before null routing, they wouldn't have done it), im not a fan of that at all, that is why they did lost me to leaseweb. So what you see as a great thing is what i see as there worst point, you can take every hetzner server with just one mail at their abuse department down for hours till days. What a great thing

We have used hetzner on and off. I don't think they are great, but they are not bad either. The latest servers we have had with them have not had any major issues, so at the moment I would recommend them. - Daniel

I've used Hetzner for the last couple of years, have been very good so far. Server has only had one issue which was pretty quickly replaced. Support is generally one of the best I've come across, I've used OVH previously and they were pretty useless. I've had a few abuse reports which should really have been ignored because they aren't legally binding outside the US, but I was given a day to write a response and it was dealt with.

hetzner's new line of servers with Skylake processors is really awesome! As for stability and quality I'd give a strong 4 from 5, but the their price overrides all disadvantages!

The price and the hardware are really nice. But ... - the connection around the world is not the best. - Hetzner Network have no ddos protection and no hardware firewall (If you get a ddos, your IP will be down over 24-48 hours) - Include Bandwidth you must look in the Wiki. Not to see in there website. Try the download file from http://speed.hetzner.de/. If this are good, then order a server from hetzner

A friend of mine recently had to deploy and configure MS Exchange on servers from Hetzner, the company who he had to do it for are long time customers of hetzner. They never had a complaint.

They delivered a server with hardware raid server on a Sunday. So ++ for me. Not to mention I got brand new drives on it.

I've had no major problems, but the network speed is much lower than what they're selling. At one time the speed is ~100 Mbit/s and at other times it's closer to 2-3 megabits. Support, when asked to fix this, said their network is OK and they don't control other networks. Which is true, but it looks like all other networks I used for testing had issues at that time

I got 2 invoices in current month. I payed one, and my server blocked. Hetzner's support look like robots, but not humans. They ignore all my questions and arguments: "please give me detailed statement" "please give me any evidence" "please explain me why you do not want to check your billing? May be it's bug" My server N/A during some days, and I don't understand how to chat with any creature with consciousness in this company(may be not human, bot with Real AI also OK ) . Forum, please help me, do you know any person/contact in this company, who can think and explain, and who do not answer using templates?

2016113003013062 I payed to your addtional invoice, but my server was N/A during some days and it's really problematic. And I feel, your staff does not answer to customer's questions, you're usually ignored it, and answer using templates. Why not call before locked server? I payed to you more than one year, and I payed in this month too. Your notifications in email not informative too. I got noticed, and payed first invoice, and was sure the payment is enough. Also I strongly dislike you save data of my credit card in your billing. I prefer to have money in another bank account, not associated with bank account linked with my VISA/Mastercard cards(if my card is stolen, then the thieves can't get money), but you force save card of latest payment and no option to always pay manually. Hi JABA, I know that this is an old post, but since I was helping out someone else here recently, I thought that I would respond to your messages as well. Hetzner Online now has DDoS protection. You can read about it under "News" on our website. The included traffic (I think this is what you mean by "include bandwidth") is clearly stated for each product. You can also find information on bandwidth under "guaranteed bandwidth" or under "connection" when you look at the product matrix pages. --Katie, Marketing, Hetzner Online
