Based on your experience, what can you recommend me

Thanks for taking time to read me, I'm currently planning to launch myself into ( maybe like many of you ) web reselling. Even though I went through many websites, through many #5 top reseller list, I can't manage to decide which should be best. I currently have someone that would want a website from me and I that's when it struck me... Should I just register him to a popular web host, or should I take the chance and try it as web reseller. I would really like to do it as reseller but there are so many web hosting company that I'm at lost. I've found some company that I thought would be the best, but putting it down in excels chart revealed that it would not be that good. So here I am, searching for answers ! I don't think that allocated size would be a matter to me, I don't plan to try and get streamers, vlogs, stuff like that yet. I'd rather think about informational websites for little companies and stuff like that. That means that the traffic isn't much of a problem either. Thanks for any tips, way-to-go, way-to-not-go, anything you can help me with

If there are so many companies already, then why are you looking to get into the industry? It's crowded and it's competitive (as you're experiencing right now). My suggestion to you would be to try to find a reseller company that offers End User Support. This is a feature that will let your clients receive support directly from the provider, and it lets you have 24/7 support without a serious investment. InnoHosting provides this.

If you have spare $200 dollars for business venture and know where to find customers then why not invest $200.

If you are willing to resell web hosting services then I would recommend you to consider Reseller Web Hosting plan from ISP. Reseller plans enable you to start your own web hosting company within few minutes. You just need to sign up and get started. Also you can sign up with company which can provide you with end user support.

What sort of budget do you have? Any other specific requirements? This type of information will help us to point you in the right direction

Thanks again ! There's not really any other specifics that I told before : - I don't plan to search for streamer which means traffic/bandwith is not much of a problem. - Allocated size would not be much of a problem either As for the budget, I'm not so sure what is the general line about it. The fact is that I don't have much client either for now. I would have one right now, but would need to find more, of course paying 200$ wouldn't be a problem with a start of 3-5 clients but for only one, it's clear that I'm at lost. I'm thinking maybe I should register them as 1 client to the host and maybe when I'm having a bit more clients, searching to switch as reseller maybe ? Thanks for the information you can provide me.

Or find a company that offers affiliate or JV instead of joining the industry.

I would suggest you to start small and then take it from there. There isnt top spot for any hosts.. each hosts will have their pros and cons. Uptime could be mentioned, but still it would be out of reach due to non-human errors. Ultimately, we pay for a quality support and how good they are in resolving issues and customer oriented. When you get into Web Hosting business or for that matter any business, first thing is the business model and what you bring on table. Good Luck with your hunt..

All right, thank you for the informations you've all provided. I guess I'll start with one and see how it goes, if for the next I need something else, I'll go somewhere else, and when I'm ready, mixing them all under one reseller account. Thank you.

SantaClauss good luck with your search. There are a lot of solid hosts that advertise here at WHT, I definitely recommend checking the advertising section. I would avoid most of the "review" sites and "top" host lists you find in a Google search, these are almost always affiliate pages (where the highest payout is at the top, not the best host). For what it's worth, I've found the service and support offered by HawkHost to be very good over the last few years.

Thank you DWS, I've found one that I could have a rebate ( coupon ) on him and I'm thinking maybe I should go with them for now, with my first client. If anything is no good, I guess switching is always an option. Thanks again
