Less than 2 week review of Sarora Hosting - Hello Mr. Refund

Posted by JRSEOMarketing, 01-19-2009, 03:38 PM
I saw a posting in the management offers section, as I needed some work done on a server. I saw Sarora's thread and decided to check it out. They offered $19/month for management support. Since it was so cheap I didn't have high expectations and if things went sour... it's only $19.00 or I can request a refund, as it says: "Money back guarantee & refund policy We offer a 30 day Money back guarantee. Refunds: If client has retained the services for one year and has pre-paid Sarora Hosting for such services, refunds will be issued for any unused full month of the services, upon client's request. Therefore, if client's account is cancelled at any point during the one-year term, client will be entitled to a refund for the months remaining, after notice given by the 25th day of the preceding month. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO VPS or DEDICATED servers, as well as domain registration." This is the thread I first saw: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=746006&highlight=sarora Guarantees: 2 hour 30 minutes GUARATEED Response Time (average: 30-40 minutes) 24 hour GUARANTEED Resolution Time* (average: 6 hours) I signed up on 01/08/09 and asked how it works. Because I never did receive a welcome Email (but could possibly went to my spam box. This I can not guarantee. I received a response within a minute that my "VPS" would be setup asap. Since I didn't order a VPS I was confused and told them it was a Managed Service. Michelle replied back within 7 minutes (pretty quick) stating it was an error and I did in fact order the Managed Service. I took a few days off and on 01/12/09 I gave them a scenario of why I needed the work and asked them a direct question and reply confirm the answer. 20 hours later (on the 13th) I received a reply requesting the server information. Which they completely ignored my initial question. I replied to them 6 hours later and asked for their IP Address so I could add them to the hosts_allow. Waited on the 14th, no reply. Waited on the 15th, no reply. On 01/16/09 I told them I didn't receive a reply from a few days ago. Today is the 19... still no reply. So instead of going any further, I'll be requesting a refund as absolutely no services were rendered, and the communication has been horrible. Below is the transcript in case you wish to see it: ---------------------------- I removed last names, as I don't want to submit more in-depth private information Josh || Client 08/01/2009 15:52 I'm not sure how this works. (Pending)? Will you send us more information? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David || Staff 08/01/2009 15:53 Josh, Thank you for choosing Sarora Hosting. As per setup times, you will receive an account provisioning email as soon as your VPS is set up and ready to go. We appreciate your patience. If you need anything else, just let us know. Have a great day. -David M Sr. Systems Administrator Sarora Hosting -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michelle || Staff 08/01/2009 16:00 Hello Mr. Alexander, You have purchased Server Management. Please supply all pertinent information so that we may secure your server. Thank You. -Michelle H Sales Specialist Sarora Hosting -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shikhir || Staff 08/01/2009 17:51 Hi Josh, We've seen you ordered server management. Your product is now activated, go ahead and post tickets as needed. Thanks, Shikhir -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh || Client 12/01/2009 12:28 Our ns1.erelopro.com server tends to run a high load average every 10-15 minutes. I have to completely restart apache2 before it dies down. My suspicion is a script exploit somewhere on the server, and/or other script related problem. As there shouldn't be such a high spike in load average, and then it goes away after an apache2 reboot. Please confirm previous ticket reply, and i'll submit the information for our server. We don't require much server management, so time extensive should not be a lot. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David || Staff 13/01/2009 10:32 Josh, Can I please have your server login information? Thanks! -David M Sr. Systems Administrator Sarora Hosting -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh || Client 13/01/2009 16:06 I will need to add your IP Address to our hosts_allow. What is the IP you will be using? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Josh || Client 16/01/2009 12:28 I never received a reply on this from a few days ago.

Have you contacted shikir?

Posted by JRSEOMarketing, 01-21-2009, 12:59 AM
shikir contacted me and apologized for the delay, which never said why there was one. He said he would refund me the money within 5 days. That was yesterday, so we'll see by Friday.

Hi PinkFloydWS, I was wondering about Sarora, thanks for the review. Usually Sarora is quite active here its odd that they haven't noticed this thread and replied.
