hi please help me deciding btw skynethosting, eleven2,5GBps.com, KnownSRV.com, heartinternet, hostgator. i really dunno if reseller is good for me or vps but i do know am not ready for dedicated server yet. i hosted and manage my clients sites and mostly UK based, so i dunno getting vps from holland .nl is a good idea or not. am also concern about good page load? my requirement is simple, i want a server to host my many sites and client's, install what i want when i want(wishing thought ), have access to cpanel/ftp or somehow an gui to install drupal, wordpress, magento, phpbb, ssl. and some sites have lots of daily visits so dont want to be bottled down. i can afford up to £25/m(~ 40$). please any suggestion welcomed, don't be limited to my earlier choices only. i read a lot since i joined but just cant find a straight answer so i decided to just asked with my personal situation. needless to say if i go vps route this will be my 1st time, but i am a fast learner so i aint worry but i noticed last time i tried there is no cpanel(well extra 16-19 added to the cost) but some called kloxo, is that good aswell? thx again

If you have just basic sites, I would go for reseller account first. If you go for vps, make sure it is fully managed and stick with cPanel since it is your first time with VPS and so that you do not have to worry to fix any problem in the server you might encounter.

If you don't know how to manage server (even you choose managed vps you still need to know basic stuff)reseller hosting would be better option for you. I can recomend ezpzhosting for reseller and tmzvps for managed vps Both are good

Hello. I really agree with the others, if you are just starting out its best to start with a reseller account. Then once you are familiar with WHM and the basics then you can consider a VPS.

If you want to go VPS route, make sure you choose a VPS with cpanel. Your budget is a bit low for cpanel vps though.

Going with a good multi location reseller solution is key, so that you can create accounts in different locations, your customers will really enjoy that and you will have a Niche to offer them.

hi can you suggest or recommend any? after a month with a vps, i am back on the drawing board for a reseller. i am looking at heartinternet in uk but they are 40£/m and everything is unlimited, though a friend of mine that use it, i notice a lot of server slow on their sites. so any good recommendation will be great, and as webnet host said, multi location will be awesome as i got some .us and .uk 's. again thx everyone

Location usa would be fine for uk customers I've never had issues with loading times when I was with crocweb. Start on a small reseller and move up to the next plan if needed and learn how to manage a vps before you upgrade to a vps. Good luck.

So, that VPS didn't work out for you did it? What is the reason your'e back on the drawing board for a reseller package? Support or just functionalty issues?

Everyone just always recommends a managed VPS without touching home about the management unless it's full management to the point they will patch your VPS you could actually end up with a VPS with more holes than good. A decent shared hosting provider will mostly perform better than some of the VPS providers around anyway. Any host with the likes of Softaculous will help you install scripts extremely easy.

ohh no, just didnt have time for the learning curves. the vps and support was amazing, actually over amazing but i just want an easy way to get things done. if i want to add another domain, i just want to add quick and get to script not fiddle around too much to find what i need. for the whole month i used it only once and mostly use my shared hosting, so i guess its not worth paying for some you dont use and it cost me around £20/m. so i think reseller will be great for me till i have free time to learn the in and out of vps before i jump back in. so croc web is what everyone recommending me? again thx for the replies

I can HIGHLY recommend Eleven2. With them for about 8 years. Reseller account. Service and support are both excellent and fast.

I heard HostDime and EZPZHosting is pretty good.

No doubt you need a cpanel/whm reseller and not kloxo. Check the offers section.

If you want a reseller, maybe you should look for UK locations of Stablehost, EZPZHosting, EUKhost, UK2.net etc. However, if its VPS what you're looking for (make sure its managed with cPanel if you are not aware how to manage a vps) a VPS, some of the names which pop into mind are VPS.net & Rackspace UK.

I moved from altushost to KnownSRV and i'm really happy with this company. Over 6 months with no complaint, they're always there for you.

Go with a reseller account as you will have the resources of a dedicated server.
