Need a reseller

Posted by Karl, 08-18-2010, 10:55 AM
I need a budget reseller, I don't need a billing system, etc. As I am only hosting my clients. I don't have a high budget at all, around $5, I just need cPanel, something reliable. Resources, I'd say 10GB space, bandwidth is whatever. These are very low traffic websites.

do you need any specific location?

US preferably.

Greetings,

Is quality important to you? I can point you in the direction of a few reseller providers that offer plans at that price, but they are not known for the best uptime. Most providers that offer plans at that price will be extremely oversold and will likely have stability issues.

Bandwidth cost money too...

You're back again, and this is probably the third time that I recall seeing you asking for advice on services. Each time your budget goes down, you have poor experiences, and you expect better results? It's time you increase the budget. You know what Einstein said about this? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results - definition of insanity.

you need a budget of about $7 or $9 to get what your looking for unless you want your site to be down most of the night Best of luck

I agree...if you can come up with an extra few dollars per month, you can get exactly what you want.

Ah - I thought I recognized the OP's name too. If uptime, reliability, and stability are important to you - you cannot afford to be cheap

Where did Eistein say that?

for $10-$12 you can get a reliable reseller hosting, i think you gonna need reliable reseller hosting to avoid complain from your customer

I haven't had poor experiences, as I've never actually purchased any reseller yet. Since you've posted on my other topics you should have known that. This time it's to host something completely different, something very low maintenance, something that won't take up much resources at all. Also, I'm pretty sure it was Benjamin Franklin that said it, but whatever, right? Of course it does, but I don't have a desired amount, so just whatever comes with the package. These are low traffic websites so bandwidth isn't an issue. On another note, has anyone had any dealings with Rack0? I've contacted their support, they seem pretty quick, replies in under 15 minutes. 5/month is not worth for a host to provide a reseller hosting package. You open 1-2 tickets a month, support cost is already over the monthly fee.

Oops.. yes that was Franklin. Point still being that you should know you get what you pay for by now. When will you learn you can't expect the world for dirt cheap? It just doesn't happen. Up the budget!

A quick search of Rack0 on WHT reveals one bad comment on them and another 10/10 review. Up to you then mate.

A perfect example of how no one hosting provider can please every customer

If I signed up for the following plan 500GB of Disk Space 5TB of Bandwidth Unlimited Accounts Free Dedicated IP cPanel / WHM all for just $5.95/month and will put a very active music site on it, do you really think I would be able to use 500GB/space and 5TB/bandwidth? No chance. If the site was using around 500GB of Disk Space and 5TB of Bandwidth the site would also be using a lot of CPU/memory too. For $5.95 you would probably be able to use around 10-50GB space and 100-500GB bandwidth. Even that's pushing it. You should put in for a plan with diskspace and bandwidth that you actually need and for an affordable price, not put in for a plan with diskspace and bandwidth you would like to have for cheapest price possible. These never work out well. You should find out how much diskspace and bandwidth you need before looking at plans.

The cheapest plan i can think off is resellerzoom budget plan but even that plan is 0.95$ expensive then your budget

You wont get a reliable reseller package for your budget, forget it, don't waste your time searching for it. Increase your budget or think in something else. I want a Ferrari 2010 for $20k too, but I don't think that I'll get it even if I post my request in any forum on internet.

Posted by JasonD10, 08-19-2010, 10:37 AM
Darn. I just posted that on the Ferrari forums and thought I would too.

Posted by Jedito, 08-19-2010, 10:58 AM
I found one! it does comes with a reseller account for an extra of just $5.95 per month

You are not allowed to offer your hosting services on these forums

sorry did not know

Try checking out the WHT offers section. A lot of great deals there. I personally would go for the lifetime discounts instead of one time if possible. Also try to look for fairly reputable host. You don't want a headache for a couple dollars you'd be spending it on advil instead.
