BudgetReseller : Review!!

Hello everyone and happy new year, Hope all of you are doing great. I am with budgetreseller for about three years and nine months now. I posted my first review about them here (3 years 6 months back): http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=521439 Since then lot many things moved / changed around the world and at WHT. So I thought let me update all of you on my current stay with budgetreseller aka budgethost.ca. My journey with them till start of 2008 was smooth without any issues. Suddenly I came to know that the previous owner has sold the business to someone else. This was in the month of April/Mar 2008. I was really very worried on what will happen next. For about 2 weeks during the transition time there were issues in getting quick response to the support tickets. There were also some downtimes during this time as the new owner was upgrading the hardware. There were posts popping up at WHT regarding these issues. This for sure made me more anxious. However, this was more like a bumpy ride or rough patch. Things came to normal quickly and the new owners were quick on putting the things back on track. Thereafter it has been again smooth breeze ride. So 7 out 10 on handling March 2008 transition. It’s almost two year after that transition and I must say that I have been truly impressed with the support that I have received during this period. During October 2008 I was moved to a new server. This was really handled very well by them. They were always on top and were continuously following up with me to change the nameserver, moving my sites and ensuring they are up and running. Here is the exact quote from one of the support ticket: Indeed the Oct 2008 transition was smooth, communication was proactive and always in detail. I must give them 10 out of 10 on this one. It's actually very comforting when you are being updated by your host at periodic intervals about various updates and changes.. Must appreciate BudgetHost for following a good practice. Summary: Kudos to new management especially Zenon for keeping up the reputation and legacy of BudgetReseller. Great job and keep it up. You really deserve full marks.. Phew, four years is a long time... isn't it?

Wow, great to hear another customer able to hold onto their host for many years. Transitions are always a sketchy road to take but obviously worked out well for you here which is a good thing

Long time since I've last read a review on Budgetreseller. Not the first time that once the owners leave WHT, there's not much talk about the company anymore. Good to hear that the transition ended nicely, and the company is on a great track.

NeoGen, Thanks for the kind words, and taking the time to post a review. 4 years is along time, and its been my pleasure working with you for nearly 2 and a half of those years. To clarify any confusion we officially took over Budget Host in August of 2007, but did not implement any changes until early 2008, which is the time that you started to notice the transitional bumps, thank you for working through them with us. As a side note many of you who are and who got to know Greg aka 'Lubby' (the former owner) here on the forums. Although he pursued other interests after selling Budget Host, I still hear from him from time to time and he is doing well in his new adventures. Regards,
