It has many logs like this: /domlogs/_wildcard_.metaromance.com httpd 16660 nobody 1236w REG 253,0 0 418377 /usr/local/apache /domlogs/_wildcard_.metaromance.com-bytes_log httpd 16660 nobody 1237w REG 253,0 1810 421481 /usr/local/apache /domlogs/_wildcard_.merckstockquote.com httpd 16660 nobody 1238w REG 253,0 214 423756 /usr/local/apache /domlogs/_wildcard_.merckstockquote.com-bytes_log httpd 16660 nobody 1239w REG 253,0 548425 417464 /usr/local/apache /domlogs/_wildcard_.men-dating.org httpd 16660 nobody 1240w REG 253,0 20659 423757 /usr/local/apache /domlogs/_wildcard_.men-dating.org-bytes_log httpd 16660 nobody 1241w REG 253,0 166481 419742 /usr/local/apache /domlogs/_wildcard_.meetingsweetbaremomanddaughter.com^C I tried to get rid of that in httpd.conf, not only it's dangerous because it affects the whole server there are like too many of them in httpd.conf CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/superhostsite.com combined CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/superhostsite.com-bytes_log "%{%s}t %I .\n%{%s}t %O ." I do not need those custom logs. They are a hog of writes in hard disk. More importantly cpanel put the log in the main hard drive. So no matter how many hard drive I have the one drive that got huge hit is the main one. How do I get rid of it?

Go inside httpd.conf file and search for CustomLog, you should CustomLog as the first search result. Add # in front of it to commend it out. Save the file, run distiller, and restart Apache.

Back up your /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file Edit /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf and remove all "CustomLog /usr/local/apache/domlogs/domain.com combined" lines in each VirtualHost entry Save the file and restart apache
