What's your budget? Have you tried HostSearch.com? Regards.

Hi CartikiaHosting are US Based, they offer windows, I have not used them myself so I can not personally recommend them but this is the first provider to the top of my head that seems well known and US based.

Cartika is Canada based

With servers at Colo4Dallas and an owner that is highly active and respected by his peers @ WHT

Thanks, i checked out databasemart.com but they don't offer phone support.

Posted by MrRadic, 03-12-2007, 12:57 PM
I think the OP is looking for US based support...

Posted by gate2vn, 03-12-2007, 08:58 PM
Phone support prices more. With Handynetworks, you get what you pay for. Let me tell you: do you really need phone support if you can have tickets answered within minutes? When I was still with them, all the tickets can be addressed within 30 minutes.

Pham, don't you have windows reseller packages? I've had a windows account with you guys for 2 years now and I have yet to use it!

Posted by gate2vn, 03-13-2007, 01:00 AM
We do provide windows reseller packages. In fact we have many resellers on our Helm clustering system. However, we do not offer phone support yet, and I cannot recommend myself here Just share the OP my experience to help him to get a good provider

Posted by Archbob, 03-13-2007, 01:14 AM
I've never found phone support to be that helpful on any of my previous hosts, ticketing system is much better.

Hello all and thank you for the kind words - just to clear a few things up: 1) yes, we are HQ'ed in Toronto, Canada 2) yes, our servers are all colocated in the colo4dallas.com facility 3) all of our support and all of our staff (except billing and sales) are handled in the US (usually companies outsource to Canada to take advantage of the currency exchange - we are quite opposite where we mostly outsource to the US - ie) we like our staff to be close to our servers when ever possible ) As for windows reseller providers - hosts with a solid reputation include: - cyberhostpro - hostnexus - bluefur.com (formally monsterhosting.ca) - jodohost - vortechhosting Hope this helps...

Another few to add to cartika's list of hosts: - appliedi.net - discountasp.net - relio.com - eirca.net - xanaduservers.com I don't have first-hand experience with any of these, so please do your research before making a decision.

very good discountasp.net

I would research xanadu before deciding to go with them. You may want to search for the previous company that Larry Stevens owned and how he ditched his customers for a fish tank.

Obviously you do not know the facts of that situation nor am I going to drudge up something that is over 2 1/2 years old. As for researching "Companies" I would agree. Feel free to Research Xanadu Servers, Inc. which is a privately held corporation based in Idaho. Feel free to research what products we offer, what customers have to say about us, etc... Feel free to research our length of time in business, which is almost one year (as of mid-April it will be 1 year). Feel free to research our standing with the BBB and the Idaho State Government.

I know that Larry was associated with a company (don't remember the name) & it was a complete mess. Although I do not know the story, but I remember that he did distance himself quite soon from the affairs of the company. And he has been around for quite some time now. Again, I am not defending anything, but it might be a good idea to look at the things from both perspectives.

Search WHT for DDIHOSTING and decide for yourself.

Posted by KNL-BSW, 03-16-2007, 02:48 PM
From reading your posts after doing some searching it seems you weren't even a customer to begin with. Along with this you don't know the facts, nor did I potray all the facts in threads on here. It is over 2 1/2 years old and in reality has no prevelance on current circumstances nor does it have relevance to this thread for that matter. If you can find information bad or good on Xanadu Servers, Inc. "DBA" XSI Hosting, feel free to post it. This company has been in business almost a year and is the company that was recommended. If anyone would like more information on Xanadu Servers, Inc. feel free to ask.

Posted by AHFBWEB, 03-16-2007, 02:53 PM
All I am telling people is to research, it is strange that you would have a problem with that.

Posted by KNL-BSW, 03-16-2007, 02:58 PM
Your not telling them to research Xanadu Servers, Inc. which is what was recommended. You are telling them to research a company that I was involved with and then became disinvolved with. You are telling them to research something that is over 2 1/2 years old that I have never gone fully into on these forums nor do I ever intend to. You are purposefully drudging up past events of a different company in order to create problems for a current company that has a good reputation. If you were telling them to research Xanadu Servers, Inc. I wouldn't have a problem. If you were telling them to research XSI Hosting, I wouldn't have a problem.

so just partial due diligence is good enough. My kid wants to do away with history too.

Posted by KNL-BSW, 03-16-2007, 03:06 PM
Fine, you want to drudge it up then here is what was never said. I was forced to leave on the conditions that if I didn't leave server bills were not going to be paid causing all customers to go down. The short of it is I made a bad error in character judgement and let someone else whom I shouldn't have trusted in charge of finances. I was even promised payment for my share of the company, which was never provided. Due to this error I waited over a year before even contemplating entering the industry then I waited till I had the personal funds to fully back the company myself before even going into this. Even after that I spent time locating people I could fully trust to be involved with it so it wasn't a 1 person show. So there is the bottom of it. I didn't leave by choice nor did I stop responding to people by choice. I was forced out and was requested to not say anything about the change. I was finally forced to say something, which only caused more problems which is why I left WHT at that time for a while. How would you feel if your only choice had been to walk away and not tell anyone in order to allow customers to keep servers up and then get attacked because you weren't handling it even though you couldn't? The best option I could see out of that situation was keeping the customers sites up and the servers online, which meant walking away without a word.

That is why history is so important, the same trait of blaming others. You were the CEO and the only shareholder with a vote http://www.2ndcityhost.com/ddi_dissolve.htm

Posted by cartika-andrew, 03-16-2007, 03:47 PM
Hey Dave, in all fairness, I do not see Larry blaming others He seems to be clearly accepting responsiblity for a bad error in character judgement which resulted in whatever situation to occur... He is not blaming anyone else but himself here...

Posted by Nnyan, 03-16-2007, 04:17 PM
I certainly do not know the history on this issue but I have to say that people make mistakes. Its everyone's prerogative to forgive or not. I agree that I don't see Larry shifting blame here. I do understand the other side though and its unfortunate but once you've been involved in a negative event it can take years and years to clean up your rep. I don't see anything wrong with pointing out that past history as long as it's done fairly. Larry, since its impossible to know anyone's motivation by bringing the past up (it can be good or bad) I say let your current rep will speak for you. As to this thread so far thats a solid list, I've used Crystaltech and they were rock solid.

You don't have all the facts, let alone that the paper there was not only wrong, but wasn't signed by me. At the time that company was started Idaho required two people to form a corporation. The two people were my father and myself. This can be confirmed that both were on the corporate records by Idaho State Records. It can then be confirmed that at the time this was filed, which was a mistake on my father's part as we were reorganizing and removing him, we started process and "Finalized" new company papers that put the other person in charge of the company along with me. Feel free to check it at http://www.accessidaho.org/public/so...startstep=crit Well, now that I have shown you don't have all the facts I'm hoping you might take the time to contact me privately before trying to go on about this. When you have all the facts it can change the way things are viewed. Personally I believe that Xanadu Servers, Inc.'s reputation can speak for itself and will continue to do so. I don't believe that DDI has any relevance in regards to Xanadu Servers, Inc. and I feel that bringing that up was an attempt to attack me, but I don't know why.

Posted by AHFBWEB, 03-17-2007, 10:02 AM
A personal attack? You think too highly of yourself. Now that you have posted your side you should have no problems with people researching you and your past, they now have all the information to make a good decision. Now maybe we can back out of this thread so the op can do just that.

Posted by KNL-BSW, 03-17-2007, 10:52 AM
You should re-read what you wrote if you don't believe it was at the way you went on. I say this because out of the multiple shareholders, corporate officers, employees, and board of directors I am the only one that was involved in DDI. I would hope that you were not trying to blame other people for something they had no involvement in, so the only other option would have to be a personal attack on me.
