Datapacket - Biggest Fraud I've ever seen

Posted by salman611, 12-03-2007, 02:07 AM
I dont believe the way Datapacket is operating. There are so many people who've posted on this forum about the fraudulent nature of Datapacket.net. And yet they continue doing the same in all means. I had got a Windows reseller plan from them and its still not 1 month. I've requested for a refund as I'm not satisfied with the package. And since then they've stopped answering any of my support requests. I've even email'd Bennett regarding the same and there's no response from him either. Their email ID service@datapacket.net does not work. The email bounces back. And now their support site is down. The page says: "License Error: Key file has expired". Here's all the history: - Asked Datapacket why their reseller hosting was so cheap. Will I receive good service and good hosting. They replied to the ticket saying that their 30 day money back guarantee serves proof for their service. - 15th Nov' 07: I signed up with them for the Windows Reseller account (R-1) by paying for 1 year ($99.90) - I tried their service trying to setup a test domain. I got some support from them and found out that they do not have any web based database management for my clients. Also found that they do not have an option in file manager to upload files, making FTP compulsory for any of my clients. - 24th Nov' 07: I requested for a refund as I'm not satisfied. Raised a support ticket for this with their Billing department. - 26th Nov' 07: Reminder on the same ticket for the refund. - 29th Nov' 07: Posted the same request on a separate ticket with their Sales Department. (This day it was 5 days since I raised the 1st request). - The same day, very promptly Sales department passed the ticket to the Billing department again. - 29th Nov' 07: Then I raised a new support request with "Technical Support" department asking how I should request for a refund. But, no response from them either. - 29th Nov' 07 (Late Night): When there was no response from any of the support requests, I sent an email to service@datapacket.net & bbennett@datapacket.net requesting for some action on my requests. I also specified all my support request numbers along with the dates. Yet again, no response to the email. - 1st Dec' 07: Sent another email humbly requesting for a refund for my purchase as it is still under the 30 day money back guarantee. Any guesses what happened after that? Same story.... NO RESPONSE. There has been no response to my requests till date. Hence, I request everyone to keep away from this fraud company and never get hosting from them. My biggest mistake was that I didnt check on google or this forum about reviews on Datapacket. PLEASE DONT EVER GOTO DATAPACKET.NET The most surprising thing is that this company is still running after so much of fraud. Cant someone raise a complaint against this company? Is there no authority that checks fraud over the Internet? Cause I feel I've been cheated. This company is not responding to my request for refund. And its not a month's pricing I've lost on. I've paid for one whole year (90.90 USD) I wish I didnt have to write this review, but seems like they wont return my money. Hence, I had to write this. Please do let me know if there is a website where I can report this fraudulent Company, so that some action is taken towards saving future victims of this fraud.

Just curious, if you knew they weren't good why did you sign-up with them in the first place?

I think there's a similar topic about datapacket recently. Do a search for "datapacket".

Ultimately, if they don't respond to your repeated contact attempts, you can contact your bank and file for a chargeback. I recommend you try all possible means of contact first.

Hi all. Thanks for your responses & suggestions. With a lot of difficulty and requesting on a daily basis, I have now received the refund for my payment. I am thankful to God, that even after reading so many bad reviews about Datapacket, I received the payment back. Regards

Geez, he has given them already more than enough time. Its best now if he pulls the plug off via his bank/credit card issuer. But if you paid via PayPal. Forget it, you won't get a dime back!

Read the post above yours. Apparently, it took more time, but it was finally done. Congratulations! Insistence pays off it seems.
