Jodohost down again? [merged]

Posted by mcc235, 03-06-2008, 09:27 AM
I can't reach my VPS at Jodohost, nor the main jodohost domain to check on the issue. Does anyone know if jodohost has an alternate domain that is working with updates on the issue? Does Jodohost used Softlayer as their DC? Net

Posted by JenniH, 03-06-2008, 09:38 AM
I think their DC is in Florida (Miami)

No we do not use Softlayer, that is for our off server monitors and forums. www.jodopulse.com has links back into forums and services. Our fiber provider has a switch down taking our transport services between datacenters down. Last edited by (Stephen); 03-06-2008 at 09:48 AM.

Can anyone confirm that jodohost.com is down? Sometimes a router goes down which causes connectivity issues for me, but it seems they are offline starting about 20 minutes ago or so?? Anyone?

Please someone from jodohost explain why all your servers is innacesibe? Why after so many problems you continue to host the forums, blog on the same network? My clients are angry to me - and i don't even know what is going on.

The forums are not on the same network, you can go to the outage forum for details and our backup status link is at jodopulse.com Last edited by ldcdc; 03-06-2008 at 11:20 PM.

Any ETA on when servers will be back up?

Posted by (Stephen), 03-08-2008, 08:35 PM
I wish they would give me such at their NOC, we have plans for workarounds to this in the future but when the last issue was only 2 days back it is quite hard to provision such in this time, especially when fiber is being physically laid out between locations a couple miles apart.

All is back up as of several minutes back, about 35 minutes outage. We will be posting an official announcement on this in the next 48 hours after I speak to the FPL director about this matter. We will also post a schedule for bringing in alternate transport services on a more concrete level as well.
