Windows OS - Private NS - Which to choose?

Posted by harrygr, 03-12-2006, 04:30 PM
Hello all, I just registered but have been reading for a long time. I need a host with the following features: - Windows 2003 OS (I need the ASP for clients) - Private NS - Good and reliable control panel (by the way Plesk - Help - cpanel -or- hsphere) - 24/7 support via chat or email. As long as they answer soon - Located in Europe or in US I was looking at (in no special order): - reyox.com (or .net) - varhosting.net - hostnexus.com - jodohost.com (although I don't like the User Accounts limit and price per account) - liquidsix.com Please give me your ideas ONLY if you know first hand. Thank you all for your time. Harry

I think JodoHost/H-Sphere would be a good option for you, you can also host Linux accounts alongside the Windows accounts and you also have access to MS SQL, Oracle, etc. through them as well - it's not a bad option at all.

Thanks for the reply. Right now I am only interested in Windows Hosting Plans. Later if need be I will look for an additional service. Thank you, Harry

Current host is Grabweb.net. I don't feel confortable releasing the domain name here. In a PM if you want. And I did my research. Looking for personal feedback. Harry

I went with Jodohost. I signed up yesterday. Hsphere is very powerful yet very confusing at the first look. Support (live-chat) was there everytime I needed them... so far. Minor problems here and there with the setup. I will make a complete list/review in the next few days. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks, Harry

Just an update for you guys: - The people over at Grabweb.net made some upgrades and thinks seem to be working smoother now. Took some time and several tickets but things are much better. Maybe an upgrade was due. Their live support was there and always willing to help. I will keep you posted on how things go. I am also testing Jodohost at the moment. Later, Harry
